Kahudi Wahyu led PSIS Semarang’s first training, Monitor 36 players at Jatidiri Stadium

About Semarang – PSIS Semarang officially started the first training to meet the League 2 season competition in 2025.

The training was held on Monday (6/30) afternoon at Jatidiri Stadium, Semarang, under the command of the new head coach, Kahudi Wahyu.

The exercise this time is an important moment because besides being the beginning of the team’s preparation, it is also used for the player selection process.

A total of 36 players participated in this session, consisting of players who survived from the previous season and a number of new players who took part in the selection.

Some names that still survive in the Laskar Mahesa Jenar squad include goalkeeper Rizky Darmawan, A. Madilesa, Ahmad Syihabuddin, and Reiva Apriliansyah.

In addition, there were also old faces such as Aqsa Saniskara, Farrel Arya, and Eduardus who had defended PSIS in previous seasons.

On the other hand, a number of new names helped steal the attention. They are Darrel Valentino (former Malut United), M. Rafli Mursalim (former Persiku Kudus), Safna Delpi (ex -Persijap), Raka Okta (ex -Persibo), as well as several other young players who tried their luck.

Coach Kahudi Wahyu emphasized that for the next week, the main focus of the team was to select players before determining the team frame that would fight in League 2.

“I consider this exercise as part of the selection. There are players who survive, some I invite, and there are those who try luck. So as not to waste time, we immediately join the training. My target, on July 6, there is a picture of the team frame,” Kahudi told the media crew after training.

In addition to focusing on the technical aspects, Kahudi also revealed an emotional moment when he returned to the Jatidiri Stadium as the PSIS head coach.

“Honestly, when I entered here I shuddered. I used to fight as a player here, and once dreamed of wanting to train PSIS. Alhamdulillah, this season the dream came true. It feels very different compared to training other teams,” he added.

With the start of this inaugural training, PSIS Semarang shows the seriousness of building power to return to compete in the national caste.
